Market Comparison: Homes In Canada, France And Spain For About $4.75 Million

From a 9th-century Cambrai chateau to a lavish Marbella villa, here’s what roughly $4.75 million buys in Canada, France and Spain (GROUPE MERCURE).

As trans-Atlantic travel resumes and home prices in the U.S. continue to rise, American homebuyers are now setting their sights on luxury markets abroad. Choice European markets that languished during the COVID-19 pandemic are now seeing a resurgence, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

In this week’s look at real estate markets worldwide, I took a look at property selling in one of southern Spain’s most desirable areas and how it compares to similarly priced homes in France’s Nord-Pas-de-Calais region and the vibrant city of Markham in Ontario, Canada. From a 9th-century Cambrai chateau to a lavish Marbella villa, here’s a closer look at what about $4.75 million buys right now.
