Anniversaries are special events―celebrations of milestones in a person’s life.

2023 is the 50th anniversary of The Bahamas’ independence from Great Britain―a major milestone.

2023 can mark a new milestone in your life―and start a string of happy anniversary celebrations in years to come: Show yourself some love and move into this spectacular beachfront property on the appropriately named Love Beach near Old Fort Bay in Nassau.

(Insider’s tip: July 10 is the official National Independence Day, and official events usually start more than a week earlier. Unofficial events can be found for two weeks, give or take, around that time. Unofficially, we can guarantee it will be a festive atmosphere, so expect to par-tay!)

But I digress. Let’s get back to the fab property―with five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths spread over 3,420 square feet in a small, guard-gated community providing privacy―that is affectionately and appropriately tagged as “Beachfront Bliss.”

“My first impression of this property was that it was a perfect beach house―chic, comfortable, unpretentious, with all of the modern conveniences one would expect but no wasted space or superfluous touches,” says listing agent Ryan Knowles, the CEO and founder of MAISON Bahamas. Knowles, who has been selling luxury real estate in the Bahamas for more than 10 years. “All the focus is on the incredible views and the stunning beach that is typical of The Bahamas, with swaying palm trees, soft white sand and magically clear blue waters.”

The lower level of the house features a great room with living and dining areas, with walkout access to the beach. There’s a large, newly renovated kitchen, plus three substantial bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The upper level features the primary suite with panoramic views of Love Beach. “The layout is fairly simple,” says Knowles, because the “house is all about comfort, lounging and entertainment. It’s got great indoor/outdoor flow as well. It’s not often that the minute you walk out your back door your toes are sinking into a powdery, white sand beach!”

Outside, there are three areas for lounging and dining enhanced by ambient outdoor lighting. There is a dining area with a barbecue and seating for six. A second spot adjacent to the living room features a pair of large sofas and coffee table, and a third hangout on the sand near the beach offers a sofa, two chairs and firepit.

In addition to the main house, there is a separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest cottage with a newly renovated kitchenette as well as a staff bedroom and bathroom.

The location also makes the living easy: “It’s ideal … [near to] dozens of shops, restaurants and a number of great schools,” says Knowles, “and only 15 minutes from Cable Beach and the Baha Mar Resort.” There’s close airport access as well―a short hop away.
