Originally from the Sarthe region of the Pays de la Loire, I come from a family of farmers and foresters. I am an engineer from the Ecole des Mines d’Alès. After a career as a consultant for a Value Analysis firm in the West Indies (FWI) and in mainland France, I devoted myself to managing a family wine estate in Gironde and Dordogne.

I then became involved in local public life as General Secretary of the Bordeaux Winegrowers’ Union, then as a local elected official. In particular, I was mayor of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, a fortified town founded by Edward 1st of England in 1281, from 2008 to 2020. During these 12 years, I carried out several heritage restoration projects in the heart of the village, with the help of the Architect des Bâtiments de France. One of these projects will uncover the remains of an ancient street and an entire district of artisan potters, which disappeared in the 14th century. With the help of an architect in charge of historical monuments, I have undertaken the restoration of 4 churches, one of which had lost the roof of its steeple 30 years ago.

At the same time, to market the estate’s wines, I traveled the world. My experiences in rural France, my skills in viticulture, agriculture and forestry, and my passion for history, heritage and real estate, led me to join the Mercure in 2023, within the Bordeaux-Aquitaine agency.

With Béatrice Camaly, I’m in charge of the southern Gironde and the Lot-et-Garonne departments.
