Red Lily Vineyards
In the beautiful Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon, the opportunity of a lifetime awaits. If you’ve ever dreamed of living on a stunning riverfront estate surrounded by vineyards, mountains, and rolling meadows while operating an award-winning winery, Red Lily Vineyards is your dream come true.

Vineyards
Located in Jacksonville, Oregon – just 15 minutes from Medford and 30 minutes from Ashland (home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival) – Red Lily Vineyards is a terroir-driven, small cuvee winery that sits in Southern Oregon’s Applegate Valley, the only sub-AVA of the Rogue Valley AVA. The estate’s two vineyards are focused heavily on Spanish grape varieties that are well-suited to the Applegate Valley’s soil, climate and elevation.

The Bean Patch Vineyard, named for the location where the property’s original owners – who homesteaded here in the late 1800s – and grew bush beans, was planted in 2008 with four acres of Tempranillo vines. It has a predominantly northern aspect and rises to an elevation of approximately 1,600 feet.

In 2011, the 14-acre Stargazer Vineyard was planted with Tempranillo, Verdejo, Grenache, and Graciano. This vineyard has a predominantly northern aspect on a varying slope surrounding a knoll that provides an incredible view of the night sky – a perfect place for stargazing!

Winery
Red Lily’s winery operation has a maximum annual capacity of 5,000 cases, and currently reaches 3,000 cases that include Tempranillo, Tempranillo Reserve, Rose (Tempranillo/Grenache blend), Tempranillo/Cabernet Sauvignon blend, and Verdejo (white). The state-of-the-art, 5,200 sq. foot winery facility, built in 2011, contains a fermentation room with four stainless steel wine tanks, barrel storage room, case storage room, exterior covered crush pad, and a conference room. Large arched windows frame a view of the barrel room from the conference room, a comfortable meeting area that features rustic wood doors and trim, a custom wood conference table and a rustic chandelier created with an old ladder and weathered metal lanterns.

The winery’s 1,885 sq. foot tasting room, which opened in August 2011, is a beautifully unique structure made of tongue and groove cedar siding with a steep-pitched metal roof – designed to compliment the estate’s historic pole barn with which it’s connected. Inside, the vaulted, logbeam ceilings, concrete floors, tall windows, and stacked river rock fireplace create a bright, airy and comfortable space for tasters to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Reclaimed barn wood from the pole barn’s original troughs was used to build the bar and sales counter that sits in front of the unique, horizontal wine bottle display racks on the back wall. An 800 sq. foot covered patio, with a vaulted, beamed ceiling that mirrors the interior’s, sits just outside the tasting room and shares the see-through fireplace and tall windows.

Connected to the tasting room by an enclosed breezeway is the estate’s historic pole barn. The 80-year-old, 800 sq. foot barn was a natural inspiration for the winery’s architectural design and was transformed into an incredible space for guests to enjoy while visiting Red Lily. The barn features handcrafted wine barrel stave chandeliers, a reclaimed pine floor, log beams, wide sliding barn doors, and racked wine barrel walls where feeding troughs once resided.

In keeping with the natural feel of the winery and it’s surroundings, river rock was pulled from the Applegate River and used throughout the facility. In addition to the tasting room’s fireplace surround, river rock was used at the base of the columns that surround the tasting room and pole barn.

Every detail of the winery has been carefully considered in order to create a one-of-a-kind experience for guests – whether they are at the winery to taste wine and enjoy the incredible views, for a business meeting in the conference room, or a wedding in the pole barn.

Estate
This estate is much more than just the wine business. With more than 250 acres, it’s a place to relax and enjoy life. It’s where gentle breezes from the mountains will cool you in the summer as you sip wine on your veranda, where you can saddle up a horse and ride for hours, or where you can cast a line and wile away the afternoon fishing along your 3,300 feet of river frontage. A private drive and bridge over the Applegate River brings you to a knoll overlooking the river and the estate’s main residence, a 4,470 sq. foot, American cedar shingle-style home with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen, and 600 sq. feet of stunning outdoor living space. Soaring cathedral ceilings greet you as you enter the home’s foyer and extend into much of the main level – where you’ll find the living and family rooms, gourmet kitchen, a guest bedroom, office, media room and game room with covered patio. Polished travertine tile floors in the kitchen, living and dining rooms create a luxurious feel; a hard rock maple island, cherry breakfast bar and vaulted beam ceiling add rustic, yet grand, touches to the kitchen; and tall windows flood the home with sunshine and offer breathtaking views from every room. A second, 1,800 sq. foot home, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, was remodeled in 2012 and has lovely Craftsman-style details, rustic wood beams, a country kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, and a cozy front porch and deck. It’s an inviting space that’s a perfect getaway for friends, family or vineyard caretakers.

The estate also includes a 100-year-old, 3,000+ sq. foot hay barn; a 2,500 sq. foot horse barn with stalls and troughs ready for horses; a 1,200 sq. foot shop; and a 400 sq. foot storage shed in the vineyards.

This property is an amazing find in the sunny Applegate Valley. Incredible expansion opportunities await – whether you are interested in increasing the size of the vineyards, raising cattle or buffalo or trying your hand at other crops, there’s no type of farming you couldn’t do here. But life isn’t all about work so when it’s time to relax after a hard day’s work, it’s good to have options too… unwind with a swim at your private riverfront beach, take a walk through your vines, cook a gourmet meal at home, or just sit and admire the mountain views. Your new life awaits at Red Lily Vineyards and estate!
