Laura began her real estate career in 1991 at the Chevy Chase office of Long & Foster. For nearly ten years, Laura was a top-producing agent, representing both sellers and buyers in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Throughout this time, Laura shared her unique perspective and in-depth industry knowledge by writing real estate-related articles for weekly newspapers and trade magazines.

In 2001 Laura paused her real estate career and focused her energies on raising a family. At the same time she continued her community volunteerism – now spanning over 25 years – working for children-focused non-profits as well as serving on boards and groups supporting Montgomery County public schools. As her children grew, Laura took a detour from real estate, becoming a freelance writer and social media specialist for small businesses. In 2016, Laura earned a certification in Social Media Management from Georgetown University. And in 2020 Laura jumped back into the real estate ring and is now proudly associated with the Gateway office of Long & Foster.
