Jean Mitchell

Jean has resided in the Vail Valley for 26 years and has focused on selling some of Vail Village’s most sought-after properties and locations, including the Austria Haus and One Willow Bridge – private residence clubs in the center of the village overlooking Gore Creek.
Jean was born in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and graduated with a BS in journalism/advertising from Kent State University. As with so many of us, Jean was drawn to the healthy lifestyle in Colorado – she moved to Denver in 1986 and worked with the master planned golf community in Castle Pines Village, Castle Rock. She was initially the Parade of Homes coordinator and then the membership director for the Country Club at Castle Pines. This is where Jean gained her appreciation for real estate – the rest is history!
Jean embraces the Vail lifestyle in every regard and enjoys golf, hiking, pickleball and skiing. She is a member of The Sonnenalp Club and you will often find her there partaking in the yoga and barre classes. Spend a few hours hiking, golfing or skiing with Jean and you will understand why visitors decide to buy here as Jean’s never-ending smile tells the story of a life well-lived.
Kate Michell, Jean’s eldest, is 21 and is a senior at CU Boulder – Leeds Business School. Kamryn, Jean’s youngest, is 19 and will be attending CSU soon to study interior design. Kate was a fabulous soccer player in high school and Kamryn recently won first place in doubles tennis at the 3A Colorado State High School Tennis Tournament. Clearly, these young women embrace an active lifestyle just as their mother does.
Jean’s clients enjoy her love of the Vail lifestyle, her valuable ethics, and the ease with which she forms and fosters long lasting relationships.
