Elissa Markoya

Elissa grew up in Port Jefferson, NY, a small town on the east end of Long Island. Residing in Carbondale with her husband over a decade ago, she traded the ocean for the glory of the mountains to call her new home. The Roaring Fork Valley is very much like her home town; she carries the appreciation of small-town living and embraces what this community represents in its own uniqueness.

Being involved in the community is something Elissa finds important for personal growth, communal growth, and for the well-being of her children. As a mother of three young children, she believes it is dire to exemplify what it means to love your community and to give back to others. Whether it be helping with school fundraisers, sponsoring local film festivals, or simply attending farm-to-plate dinners from our local farmers, she understands the importance of embracing what’s around us in this special valley. There is a little bit of everything here for everyone; from the arts, the vast outdoor activities, farmers markets…to the many different types of locally run festivals (Art, Film, Ideas). Whatever the activity may be, this valley makes it easy to call this area home.

Prior to being a Broker, Elissa had been in customer service positions for nearly fifteen years; combining experience in hospitality, property management, the arts, as well as previously working as a Transaction and Marketing Coordinator for many of the Valley’s top Brokers; she is well-versed in all aspects of a Real Estate transaction. Studying Fine Arts in college, she has a particular eye for detail and makes sure all aspects of any avenues she is pursuing are represented correctly. She discovered her passion for real estate many years ago; managing a large Aspen estate, and dreaming of one day owning in the Roaring Fork Valley. Now that she has personally and professionally experienced both buying and selling, she is excited to use her almost 10 years of experience to help others with their future endeavors in real estate. Attention to detail, organization, and sincere care for clients are what make her successful. She is looking forward to sharing her experience, genuine love for real estate, and dedicating her time and efforts to making all of her past and future clients realize their real estate dreams.
