Situated at the side of the 11th-century abbey church, this is one of the most beautiful estates in the Valois region. It has been carefully maintained, as evidenced by the gardens and the three beautifully decorated houses: period fireplaces, wood panelling, antique floor tiles and parquet flooring, and Braquenié tapestries.
The House of the Nuns, Listed as a Historic Monument : set by three single-storey vaults, one of which forms the entrance porch, it is topped by an upper floor offering a 90 sqm living room with Louis XIV-style wood panelling, library and Haute Epoque fireplace. A second 50 sqm room awaits its new destination, a vast attic above.
The Main House: now a family home, it is organized around a vast three-volume room forming a living room and dining room with library, Louis XIV fireplace and old terracotta floor tiles, illuminated by bay windows opening onto the gardens. A large kitchen with dining area and pantry, a barn and fruit room complete the ground floor. Upstairs, two beautiful suites, each with bathroom, bedroom, dressing room and linen room. In the attic, two further suites with their own bathrooms, and a small television room.
A House de l’Abbesse: independent from the Main House, it comprises an entrance hall, a living room with Louis XV fireplace and libraries, a dining room, a charming kitchen with wood panelling and Portuguese azulejos. Upstairs, two bedrooms, one with Louis XV fireplace and alcove bed, bathroom and dressing room.
The ancient abbey wash-house now forms a charming pink-coloured brick house.
