In the area of the NOTO Valley, at the southernmost tip of ITALY, just a few minutes from the beautiful beach of Carratois, characterised by its yellow sand dunes and turquoise sea, lies a newly built villa. A Mediterranean dwelling that is inspired by tradition and has as its central focus the relationship with the landscape in which it is set and the material tones of the earth on which it stands. The architecture has a compact structure and a simple, geometric identity.
Like traditional Mediterranean villas, it develops on a horizontal axis that defines the architectural design and its functional layout.
The central core of the house is a large indoor and outdoor living area overlooking the portico with a panoramic window framing the olive grove in which the house is immersed.
The porch, protected but open to the landscape, is a place to relax and enjoy the scents and beneficial effects of Mediterranean nature. Inside the large living room, the kitchen occupies a central space for conviviality.
To ensure privacy and intimacy for the guests of the house, the two large en-suite bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the central living room and have openings to the garden and windows framing the landscape.
The swimming pool at the front of the house, between the olive grove and the Mediterranean garden, can be reached via concrete islands on which to rest for sunbathing and long sunsets.
