Live in the Hub of Portland Art and Culture
Portland, OR, USA
Live here and share the neighborhood with Portland's premier performing arts! It's right at the hub of arts and cultural events where there is always something to do or see. This tower is an iconic part of the Portland skyline and the residence is one-of-a-kind, the best in the building - a work of art in its own right. We're looking for the next curator of this Fritz Junker-designed masterpiece, to live here and write the next chapter in the story.

Presenting #1101, a sophisticated, modern residence in downtown's fabled Portland Plaza building located amid the Keller Auditorium, the Portland Art Museum, and Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in downtown's creative district just two blocks from the waterfront. This location is the ideal place to live stylishly while indulging in performances and exhibitions of international renown in your own backyard. This condo, filled with sleek, curving lines, stunning finishes, and glorious views of Mt. Hood, is the only double unit in the building, boasting circular living, dining, and lounge spaces that flow seamlessly creating a sinuous space for living and entertaining. Once called Portland's sexiest condo, this is penthouse-style living with a swanky vibe.
Completely reimagined in 2019 by Portland's daring designer Fritz Junker for his personal residence, this condo is a one-of-a-kind creation with a combination of natural and glam finishes that combine to create a modern sanctuary. Grey-washed oak floors span the open living space which is divided by an industrial-inspired concrete wall with museum-quality display cases at the base. Solid maple cabinetry in the kitchen beautifully contrasts with tinted glass doors and the island's leathered Brazilian granite waterfall countertops to create a feast of rich textures and finishes with a subtle, elevated 1970s vibe. The custom cabinetry in the kitchen and throughout the residence is a flat slab construction with integrated appliances and minimal hardware creating a sleek appearance that serves to camouflage the abundance of storage found throughout the space. A Wolf induction cooktop is located on the central island and a black glass Wolf oven and microwave are housed in the wall. The SubZero refrigerator is integrated behind maple cabinet doors, a double beverage fridge is at the end of the island and the liquor cabinet is cleverly hidden behind a panel.
Following the flow of the building's curving aluminum and glass walls, the kitchen flows into a lounge space and then into a dining area where a thick concrete column serves to visually define the space. The living area features a wall of sleek cabinetry with an integrated tv and premium Paradigm speakers that are connected to the home-wide Savant Pro sound system. This open living space is ideal for entertaining with enough space for a large group to mingle and enjoy the view.
The primary suite features an elevated minimalist design with black glass tile accentuating the ceiling and forming an accent headboard above the custom-built, white oak platform bed. The spacious ensuite bath is luxe-defined with black matte subway tile highlighting the oversized glass door shower and ceramic wood-look tile on the walls and ceiling. Gleaming chrome fixtures, including a towel warmer, and crisp, white quartz countertops complete the look.
Just off the kitchen is a light-filled office with a custom-painted geometric depiction of a Pacific Northwest-inspired mountain range. A wall of seamless white lacquer cabinetry perfectly hides away all the elements of a modern office, enabling the space to be multi-functional when needed. A guest bedroom with a deluxe bath is located on the opposite side of the condo. A stone frame outlines a slightly recessed nook for the bed and built-in cabinetry and drawers eliminate the need for additional furniture. The laundry room is located next door.
Built in 1973, the building and grounds underwent a $10 million modernization project that was completed in 2018. The renovation included an incredible park-like outdoor space that includes a secure and private terrace, bbq stations, and an inviting pool. The building's welcoming and secure entrance houses the 24/7 concierge service, security, and full-time on-site building manager. Just off the lobby are the building library, event center, and kitchen, and full-service gym. This unit comes with two deeded parking spaces in the building's underground garage where that are also four electric car chargers.
In addition to the proximity to the arts, this location offers easy access to freeways with a trip to Portland International Airport just a 30-minute drive. The Portland Waterfront, which is home to the annual Jazz Festival, the Seafood and Wine Festival, Rose Festival, and many more annual events is just two blocks away. Downtown's iconic Heathman Hotel is a ten-minute walk and the Portland Streetcar and MAX lines stop in front of the building.
