Michelle Pfeiffer had a brief but fruitful stay in Pacific Palisades. The actress and her husband, TV producer David E. Kelley, sold their French-style mansion for $25 million roughly 18 months after purchasing it for $22.25 million, according to reports.
The 10,000-square-foot estate, which they bought brand new, sits on a third of an acre with views of the golf course greens at the exclusive Riviera Country Club.
The three-story mansion is described as having Old World charm blended with modern sensibilities. With rustic timbers and a rough-cut stone wall, the living area best exemplifies the design palette, with a streamlined indoor-outdoor space lined with pocketing doors.
Throughout the neutral-toned floor layout, carved stone fireplaces add refined elegance. Concrete columns surround an entertainer’s space downstairs, including a wine cellar, tasting area, and screening room. There are seven bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms.
The property has a gorgeous terrace, grassy lawn and infinity-edge pool. A glass-walled art studio sits at the far end of the area.
Pacific Palisades is among the most popular neighborhoods in Los Angeles and has seen prices soar during the pandemic. In October 2021, the median listing price for a single-family in Pacific Palisades was $4.3 million, trending up 28.2% year-over-year.
Pfeiffer is an Orange County native who has been nominated for three Academy Awards for her appearances in Dangerous Liaisons, The Fabulous Baker Boys and Love Field. The films Scarface, Dangerous Minds, Batman Returns and, most recently, Ant-Man and the Wasp are among her other credits.
Kelley is a writer and producer who has created shows such as Doogie Howser, M.D., Chicago Hope, The Practice, Big Little Lies, and Big Sky, which was recently renewed for a second season.
