William “Chris” Mortenson

Chris's familiarity with the area, his passion for real property, and his strong skills in sales and customer service make him a valuable fiduciary for both buyers and sellers. An Oldwick resident since 2002, Chris grew up in Peapack and graduated from a local university, which allowed him to accumulate substantial knowledge of our region's real estate market, neighborhoods, businesses, schools and community opportunities.

Throughout his professional career, Chris has gathered experiences which make him an all-around useful resource in areas related to the buying and selling of homes. His time in his younger years working for a local carpenter gave him a unique eye for interior details, while his many years with a family-owned garden center provide him with an appreciation for, along with a wealth of information about, exterior property and the local landscaping community. For a little over 10 years, Chris worked in the automotive industry where he learned the art of effective marketing and sales and got a window into the financial industry. His time there also illustrated to him the importance of customer service and what it takes to exceed clients' expectations.

Chris has been involved in the theater arts from a very young age, currently serving as the president of The Chester Theater Group at The Black River Playhouse in Chester, NJ. He believes his passion for all aspects of the theater, whether acting, managing, designing or others has greatly added to his overall skill sets in other areas of his life. It has provided him with a confidence in problem-solving, creative thinking, collaboration, commitment to a project, marketing and aesthetic quality, along with countless others. Chris truly believes that an outlet for your artistic expression is an invaluable part of life and in his case led to the meeting of his wife, with whom he now enjoys the process of raising two boys and making a house a home.
