Suzanne is a Real Estate Broker with over 20 years’ experience, and is a Luxury Real Estate Advisor with MAISON Bahamas, the Exclusive Bahamas Affiliate for Forbes Global Properties. With excellence in service as her mandate, she is committed to assisting clients from The Bahamas and abroad to meet their specific and multi-layered real estate needs. Her career includes business development, marketing, Human Resources, health care services, international banking as manager for the Nassau Branch of Allied Bank International, a New York headquartered consortium-owned international bank and President and Chief Operating Officer of The Lyford Cay Members’ Club.

With the reputation of being a trailblazer she was the first woman and Bahamian to head an international bank branch, an international private members’ club and to chair international financial conferences for The Central Bank of The Bahamas and the Association of International Banks and Trust Companies in The Bahamas (AIBT) which included co-chair of a conference for the AIBT and Euromoney. Suzanne attended the American Graduate School for International Management, Cornell University Center for Professional Development, the University of Tampa and the Canadian National Voice Intensive at the University of British Columbia.

She has been a host and co-host for Guardian Talk Radio and has featured in radio and television shows including Portraits, a television show produced by Cable Bahamas, and Dr. David Allen’s Love 97 radio and television shows People Helping People. Featured speaking presentations have included Rotary clubs, the Offshore Post Graduate Seminar in Jesus College, Oxford, the 50th Anniversary of the Women’s Suffrage Movement in The Bahamas hosted by The Bahamas Bureau of Women’s Affairs in collaboration with the University of The Bahamas and Corona Worldwide.

For her contributions to national development in the financial services sector she was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours and the Bahamas Silver Jubilee Anniversary of Independence Award. An Honourary Doctorate of Humane Letters Degree (D.H.L.) was awarded by Sojourner-Douglass College.

At their 25th Industry Excellence Awards, the Bahamas Financial Services Board bestowed Suzanne’s name upon their “Student of The Year Award”, established to honour an exceptional graduating student from the School of Business at the University of The Bahamas.

Other honours and awards include the 25 Most Influential Women in Business Award, Association of International Banks & Trust Companies Appreciation Award, International Women’s Forum (IWF) Women Who Make a Difference Award, Zonta Club of New Providence Living Legends Award and the Bahamas Humane Society Be Humane Award.

A former Co-Chair and current Honorary Board member of the Bahamas Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Programme, she was Master of Ceremony and a host for Royal visits. Suzanne is the Charter President of IWF Bahamas, the first international member Forum of the International Women’s Forum headquartered in Washington, D.C. and has served on the Boards of the IWF and its Leadership Foundation.
