Shannon combines an executive background in the healthcare field with her familiarity of the area's dynamic marketplace, sales trends and local neighborhoods. As a longtime area resident, she can offer hyper-local information about Morris, Union and Somerset Counties.
Before joining Turpin, Shannon put her BA degree in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State University to good use. She was a senior level hospital contractor for United Health Group; a healthcare consultant for Accenture (formerly Arthur Andersen) specializing in IT systems selection and implementation for major companies in the healthcare industry; and a provider recruitment and services representative for a network of physicians and healthcare providers in the New York metro area. These experiences give Shannon expertise that also enables her to be a successful sales associate, namely exceptional organization, negotiation and communication skills.
Her friendly, genuine and supportive personality makes Shannon a favorite among buyers and sellers. “Being outgoing helps in meeting new people and potential clients,” she says. “I think people feel comfortable opening up about their current situation, which can naturally lead to a dialogue about real estate. Buying a home or property is one of the biggest investments most people make, so it's very important that your clients feel secure and supported through this process.”
Active in her community, Shannon is a member of the Peck School Parents' Association as a former Board member and current chair of the Annual Fund as well as a member of the Pingry School Parents Association. She is a strong supporter of Morristown Athletics and holds memberships in the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, Penn State Alumni Association, Spring Brook Twig of Morristown Medical Center, Church of Christ the King in New Vernon, Baltusrol Golf Club and Spring Brook Country Club. She is also a member of the NJ Chapter of Operation Smile.
Married to her husband Sean for 19 years, the couple has three school age children and an English Cream retriever named Brody. In her free time, Shannon's interests include fitness, music, spending time with her family and watching her children play sports. Travel is another pursuit since she appreciates new places and cultures. Originally from the small beach community of Bellport, Long Island, she and her husband resided in New York City before moving to Morristown in 2002.
Known for providing outstanding service that's friendly, loyal and non-judgmental, Shannon truly enjoys the process of getting to know her clients and helping them identify their property needs and wants. She welcomes your call or visit to the Chatham office.
