Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison Mike, following in the footsteps of fellow Wisconsin Badger and our nation’s most beloved naturalist, John Muir, heard the call of the mountains and had to go. Landing in Lake Tahoe, the subsequent seven years were spent managing a branch of the Squaw Valley Resorts Accounting Department. During this time Mike saw a tangential opportunity and co-created a grocery delivery company to serve the greater North Lake Tahoe Area. Year after year the company grew exponentially. As if this wasn’t enough to keep busy, Mike took on a part-time position at the Schaffer’s Mill Golf & Lake Club in the Real Estate Sales Office. This introduction to the world of real estate opened a new world of opportunity, excitement, and challenges.

Ultimately, after successfully growing the grocery delivery company Mike knew it was time to pursue this new challenge. It was time to say goodbye to the great people at Squaw Valley, Schaffer’s Mill, and the delivery company and forge a new path with Jeff Brown and the Tahoe Mountain Realty Team.

Although a tireless worker, Mike has found a great balance living amid the mountains. The giant playground that is the Tahoe Basin has only further cultivated his playful spirit and affinity for Mother Nature. Of the many outdoor endeavors Mike’s favorite consist of sunrise ski tours, rainy day trail runs, cross country mountain bike rides, afternoon rounds of golf, and sunset climbs up granite slabs. It is no surprise Mike is very at peace in Tahoe, because after all who can resist the call of the mountains?
