Maura brings extensive real estate experience and her competitive spirit as a championship golfer and college golf coach to her sales associate position in the Far Hills Office. She chose Turpin for the “team” atmosphere, describing it as a perfect setting where she and her clients will both thrive. Many of the skills she perfected as a head golf coach– such as multi-tasking, open communication, negotiating and being a dedicated team leader– contribute to her success in residential sales.
Since beginning her real estate career in 2015, Maura actively pursued professional development opportunities including earning her ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) designation and attending industry seminars and summits. Maura also completed educational coursework in ethics, customer relationship management, safety, marketing and social media, fair housing laws and other timely real estate issues.
Every client gives Maura a new opportunity to go above and beyond, she says. “I thrive when given the chance to serve. Buying and selling a home is one of the most important decisions my clients will make, and I love being a pillar of support for them– someone they can trust implicitly, knowing I will represent their interests to the best of my ability.”
Before her real estate career, Maura was the head golf coach at both Rutgers University and Drew University. She is a former New Jersey State Amateur Golf Champion and a two-time New Jersey State Senior Golf Champion. Additionally, she was named the 2005 Big East Conference Men's Golf Coach of the Year and the 2019 Landmark Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year. Maura took two teams to the prestigious NCAA golf championships.
Maura's longstanding interest in golf extends to her membership at Spring Brook Country Club in Morristown. She is also a member of the Garden State Women's Golf Association, the Women's Metropolitan Golf Association, the Golf Coaches Association of America and the Women's Golf Coaches Association. Maura has given back to the community as a volunteer for First Tee of Raritan Valley, an organization that instills positive values in young people through the game of golf.
A native and current resident of Branchburg, Maura has lived in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties. She is familiar with central New Jersey's housing market, price ranges, neighborhoods, recreation, parks and cultural opportunities. Married with three grown children, Maura holds a BA degree in economics from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She enjoys golf, international travel, skiing in western states and reading. Maura's desire to help clients reach their goals is evident when she says, “I believe my strong work ethic, follow-up and attention to detail has played a large role in my real estate success. I am a relationship-builder and I benefit greatly from the bonds I form with my clients. In addition, my sincerity, instincts and optimism help make the journey gratifying for all parties.” Contact Maura today to begin your successful real estate journey; she looks forward to your call, email or text.Visit Maura Ballard's Site
