Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate
Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate (SSF), the firm which has served Colorado’s mountain resort communities for nearly 60 years, welcomes the addition of Marta Youngblood to the SSF team. Marta will be joining the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek office, focusing on residential real estate for second homeowners, as well as local clients.
Prior to joining SSF and receiving her real estate license, Marta worked as an operating room nurse for 14 years, the last 10 having been with Vail Health. It was during this time that she developed a deep passion for helping and caring for others, along with a strong attention to detail. Ready for a new challenge, she knew she could translate these qualities into serving real estate clients throughout the Vail Valley. Having lived all over the valley in the past decade, from West Vail to Eagle, she possesses an intimate knowledge about the various communities throughout the valley.
‘We’re thrilled Marta is joining not only the SSF team, but our team at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek office. She’s extremely organized, detail-oriented and fully dedicated to something once she starts it,’ says SSF branch broker Steve Cardinale. ‘At SSF, we work to cultivate talented employees who are committed to the company’s core values and mission, and Marta is a shining example of that.’
Marta was born in Hungary and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. A former elite level ski racer, she graduated from the Green Mountain Valley School in Vermont. As a Hungarian national ski team member, she raced for her home country on the international level, culminating her racing career at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. She still maintains a passion for skiing, participating in the local Town Series races and enjoying days on the mountain with her husband, Cameron, and 3 children. She also enjoys cycling, rafting, gardening, and photography. Outside of work, Marta volunteers at Eagle County Charter Academy. She’s also training with the Bright Future Foundation to be a volunteer advocate, supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual abuse.
‘When I made the choice to pursue a career in real estate, the decision was simple – I care about people and love my community, and I want to guide others in their journey to find the perfect mountain home,’ Marta says. ‘I could see that SSF has the same goals and values, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to work with such an incredible company and team.’
SSF has consistently been recognized for its dedication to the communities it serves, as well as its brokers and staff. The firm’s parent company, East West Partners, was recognized as one of the top 50 best places to work in the country in 2019 by Outside Magazine and ranked No. 1 Large Company on the list of 2019 Top Workplaces in Colorado, awarded by The Denver Post. SSF was also named Best Place to Work by Vail Valley Partnership in 2019. Common attributes and offerings that have set SSF and East West Partners apart are opportunities for growth, ongoing professional/training development programs, a great workplace culture with a focus on work-life balance, an annual wellness and incentive program, organized company ski days and more.
The real estate industry in the Colorado mountains has bounced back successfully over the past couple of months, and the firm is welcoming on several new brokers in Eagle and Summit counties, as well in the Roaring Fork Valley. Since June 1, SSF has written 190 new contracts worth more than $390M in sales volume in Eagle County. More than half of the buyers are from the Front Range or out of state. The firm has exceeded their June 2019 numbers with a 45% increase in new written contracts and 76% increase in sales volume.
