The third generation of her family to pursue a career in real estate, Karen Hubble Bisbee is the granddaughter of L. L. Hubble, who in 1918 founded The Hubble Company Real Estate. She received her license in 1977 and became a full-time agent on her graduation from Hollins College in 1981. She was a partner in The Hubble Company from 1983 until the firm’s merger with W. H. C. Wilson & Co. in 1990. In 1996, Hubble Bisbee and her mother, Nancy Hubble, joined O’Conor, Piper and Flynn, which went on to become Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. There the nationally recognized team were top producers for the company from1996 through 2015. In October 2015, the Hubble Bisbee Group left Coldwell Banker and opened their own office in Greenspring Station under the banner of Long & Foster/ Christie’s International Real Estate. Karen is a Life Member of the Real Estate Million Dollars Association and has served as Vice Chair of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors (GBBR)Condo/Cooperative Committee and as a member of GBBR’s Public Relations and Arbitration Committees. She achieved her GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) and ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designations and is an Associate Broker with Long & Foster/ Christie’s International Real Estate. Karen has been voted Baltimore’s Best Upscale Realtor by Baltimore Magazine with residential sales in excess of a billion dollars since 2002. Hubble Bisbee has made the elite Wall Street Journal Top 250 every year since 2009, one of only two groups in the state to earn that honor during that time frame. A three-term President of the Hollins College Alumnae Association, Karen has been very involved with the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), having served as First Vice Chairperson of BMA’s Women’s Committee, Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee and on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Friends of the American Wing. She previously chaired the HuntValley Antiques Show, served as Vice President of the Auxiliary of Family and Children’s Services and on the Maryland Historical Society’s Galleries and Development Committee. In 2009, Hubble Bisbee was honored by the Maryland High School Athletic Directors Association as “Volunteer of the Year” for her work with the Bryn Mawr School, from which her daughter graduated in 2009. Karen wasan active volunteer at Georgetown University, Washington DC from 2009-2013where her daughter, Abby, attended the Walsh School of Foreign Service. Abigail also holds a Masters in Art Business from Georgetown. Hubble Bisbee is a founder of and currently sits on the Board of Directors of TLC Lacrosse, a local non-profit girl’s lacrosse club she co-founded in 2004. A native Baltimorean, Hubble Bisbee currently resides in Lutherville with her husband, Stephen. Their daughter Abigail is the fourth generation of the family to hold a real estate license. Abby currently works for Christie’s Auction House in New York City where she is the Sales Coordinator for American Paintings.
