John Turpin in Far Hills, New Jersey

John was born into real estate. Growing up amidst business conversations between his father, Jack, who served as president of Turpin for 30 years, and his grandmother, Virginia, who founded the firm in 1960, John developed an intuitive feel for residential real estate and marketing in New Jersey. John had the privilege of working alongside his father for 10 years, during which time Jack shared valuable insight and led by example, always reinforcing his commitment to the highest standards of ethics and service, which continue to distinguish Turpin Real Estate.

Together, Jack and John fine-tuned the company so that it would remain independent, yet highly competitive, in a real estate environment that was growing increasingly franchised. Under John's direction, Turpin expanded its technological capabilities, creating a highly sophisticated, user-friendly real estate Web site and integrating the latest Web-based marketing in conjunction with more traditional media outlets.

Before assuming his role as president, John worked in a variety of capacities throughout the firm, including five years as a sales agent in the Mendham office, five years as manager of the Oldwick office, and as the founding manager of the Chatham office.

As Turpin's third Broker of Record, John is well prepared to move the company into its next phase, and says that Turpin's reputation for in-depth knowledge of its markets, its culture of teamwork among its dedicated full-time agents, and its ability to serve each client individually is an unbeatable combination. John is a dedicated family man and is passionate about music. When not busy with the responsibilities of running the business, he spends most of his time with his family, but also entertains friends and family by playing guitar and mandolin, and he enjoys sailing. He currently serves as the president of the board at Somerset Lake and Game Club.
