A career in real estate was a natural progression for John, who has a professional appreciation for fine design and architectural styles. Before joining Turpin in 1992, John worked with an interior design firm in Manhattan and studied architecture at Pratt Institute and the Parsons School of Design. He chose Turpin for their impeccable standards and imaginative working style. Looking back over his twenty-year career in real estate, John has amassed a loyal following of clients and enjoys working with generations of families.
Consistently a top producer and member of Turpin's Million Dollar Club, John has earned professional respect and trust among his long standing clientele, and among his colleagues. His tireless worth ethic and enthusiasm for the real estate industry is evident with each transaction, whether it involves the sale of a townhome or a luxury estate. When the time comes for a licensed agent or a member of the administrative staff at Turpin to buy or sell their own homes, John is often recruited to represent them. John's vast knowledge of the business, his trained eye for fine design and his meticulous attention to details are traits that have served his clients well–whether it be applying his interior design experience when preparing their home for sale, or his passion for exceeding all expectations in helping them find their perfect home. The consummate professional, John also embraces ongoing educational opportunities, staying current and informed about the trends within the real estate industry.
John grew up in Morristown, and enjoys living and working in this beautiful part of the state. He has volunteered for many years with the annual Gladstone Antiques Show, a fundraiser for United States Equestrian Team in Bedminster, serving as Event Chairman for the last three years. John also volunteers to organize Turpin's involvement with many local community events held throughout Mendham. And when he's not selling or showing real estate, John enjoys spending time with his family, gardening and traveling.
Understanding, patience, a willingness to work hard, a strong ethical foundation and a promise to go above and beyond what's expected of him are the qualities to which John's clients and colleagues attribute his success-qualities which have made him an indispensable member of the Mendham office.Visit John Schott's Site
