Hi Jim Nelson here with Long and Foster. I will be celebrating 30 years as a Realtor and have been representing buyers and sellers selling millions every year. My motto is to provide you with as much information as possible in making a decision regarding your real estate transaction. I’ve been a resident of Northern Virginia since 1969, graduated from Langley High in 1972 and Mount St. Mary University in 1978 where I received a BS degree in Business and Finance. Worked as a sales and marketing consultant for a number of years before I took over a bankrupt Texaco gas station in the middle of McLean 1982. Turned the gas station around using my marketing and sales skills and made it profitable. In 1988 I flipped the gas station and that was my first real estate deal. I then worked at Pardoe and Graham for 15 years before it too was sold and have been at Long and Foster the remaining years. I have been on the Board of Directors for the McLean Business and Professional Association, The Little Beginning Day Care, The NOVA Mental Health Association and the Tysons Townes Home Owners Association. I am a member of NAMI of Northern Virginia and I am presently serving on the Board of Directors for the NOVA Mental Health Foundation. Please feel free to ask me about this.
